The Hotel Tiosh Abaj, S.A. is situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Atitlan, in the town of Santiago Atitlan, Solola County, 140km (90 miles) from Guatemala City.
Tiosh Abaj means “Sacred Stone” in the Mayan language of T’zutujil. This sacred stone is in the form of a jaguar and has been in this place for millennia. The Mayan T’zutujil people have kept this location sacred for thousands of years. They have used this place to celebrate and perform ceremonies, and to this day the area is still revered and respected. It is located on the shores of Lake Atitlan on our property’s private shore. Throughout our property, you will experience breathtaking views of the majestic San Pedro volcano and the beautiful Lake Atitlan. This panoramic view makes our resort a magical and unique place with healing properties and strong energy fields.
On our resort, our guests from all over the world enjoy our landscaped garden areas, the flowers and trees, and exotic birds. They also enjoy the semi-tropical moderate climate and clear blue skies. At Tiosh Abaj, we enjoy a natural protected reserve.
In the town of Santiago Atitlan, our visitors will have the opportunity to see a historical town blending Mayan and Spanish cultures. From Tiosh Abaj you can easily walk to the public pier, mayan markets, and the main street. Here you will find the indigenous arts and crafts, local artisans, banks, ATM’s, and various points of interest. Santiago Atitlan is a multicultural town.

OUR SERVICES
RESTAURANT
The restaurant Tiosh Abaj is located next to the pool surrounded by beautiful gardens. It was built with 10,000 thousand stones extracted locally, chiseled by artisans from Santiago Atitlán.
EVENTS
Outdoor social events, we have large gardens and for private meetings we have 3 rooms with a capacity of 75 to 100 people.
As part of the lounge service we offer: screen projector, Flipchart, whiteboard, tables, chairs and coffee break service with buffet style option.
HOTEL
Provides services to serve local and international travelers, families and large groups with the capacity to accommodate up to 100 people.
In addition, it is annexed buildings were built with solid concrete and stones from the same area, which gives it the appearance of a colonial structure, beautiful gardens and a splendid view of lake Atitlán.
RECREATION
We have a large dolphin-shaped pool with area for children and adults, Temazcal (mayan sauna with natural eucalyptus), kayak and paddle board, Children's areas and lots of fun.
